Our Mission

The Talk of the Town Orchestra was formed in 1988 as a volunteer organization from the University of Oklahoma community to keep alive the Golden Era of the Big Bands throughout Oklahoma City metro area. Since then the band has evolved into the premier Big Band Orchestra providing world class entertainment for events, parties, weddings and concerts.

From current hits of today, yesterday, and anytime, our massive library and top shelf musicians allows us to provide a vast diversity of entertainment to make your next event a spectacular success. Allow us to help in the planning and development of you next event. 

Our History

The Talk of the Town Orchestra was formed in 1988 as a volunteer organization from the University of Oklahoma community to keep alive the Golden Era of the Big Bands throughout Oklahoma City metro area. For many years the band could be found playing at community events, dance clubs, and weekly in area retirement homes. Since then the band has evolved into the premier Big Band Orchestra providing world class entertainment for events, parties, weddings and concerts. Along with the numerous large public concerts, private events and wedding performed in recent years, the Talk of the Town Orchestra is looking to expand it’s outreach to give more people a chance to experience this fantastic live music experience that is fun, entertaining and always family friendly!
